Elsfleth is a small town at the river Weser
between the seaports of Bremen
and Bremerhaven.It is
wellknown by seafarers around the world. In the past Elsfleth was a
seaport too and many navigators got their education and first
practise at the famous navigation school in Elsfleth, called -
Seefahrtschule -. in the
past ;...and - Fachhochschule Oldenburg
Fachbereich Seefahrt - today.
-Visurgis-
and - Roter Sand - are the
two maritime associations in Elsfleth with the goal of comradeship
between the mariners.
The sailship - Grossherzogin
Elisabeth- with the homeport Elsfleth, is the training
center for the future seamen and captains.
